Sitting under a wizened old tree and sharing knowledge has been an ancient teaching tradition throughout the history of mankind.
About 5000 to 6000 years ago, this was the only way for monks and sages to pass on their wisdom. It was a popular and direct teaching method, a one to one relationship
.

The Teaching Tree foundation is a global movement with a philosophy based on wholeness and caring. It is our intention to actually teach and have meetings under trees as it has been done throughout time.

The aim is symbiotic and harmonic learning in nature. Based on mutual respect, love and the sharing of knowledge amongst all involved.
The tree is a perfect metaphor for this relationship. They give safe shelter, oxygen to breathe, food to nourish and energy to grow and in return receive loving care and joy for their flowers, fruit and beauty.

We are all simultaneously teacher and student, celebrating all aspects of life and creation. Sharing this knowledge is the core essence of the teaching tree foundation.
